Standard vs nano ceramic tint: which should you pick?
We fit two films. Both block 99 percent of UV; the difference is how they handle heat. Standard film is the great-value option, cutting heat mainly through darkness. Nano ceramic film carries ceramic particles that reject infrared heat rather than absorb it, so it keeps the cabin cooler without needing to go as dark, and it never interferes with GPS, Bluetooth, radio or mobile signal.

How much does window tinting cost?
Tinting starts from $250, and every car is quoted per vehicle. The starting figure covers standard film on two windows; it steps up for four windows, and again for nano ceramic film, which costs more than standard because of the heat it rejects. What tint is legal in Queensland?
Queensland measures tint as VLT, the percentage of visible light that passes through the window. There's a minimum for each window, and the factory glass counts toward it, which is why we measure your existing glass before quoting a shade. On a standard light vehicle:
- Front side windows: must let through at least 35 percent of light (VLT).
- Rear side windows and rear window: can go down to 20 percent VLT, as long as the car has a working side mirror on each side.
- Windscreen: only a tinted strip along the top, no lower than the top of the wiper sweep or the upper 10 percent of the glass, whichever is less.
- Reflectance: film can't be more than 10 percent reflective, so no mirror-look tint.
These limits apply to light vehicles up to 4,500kg. We only fit tint that keeps your car legal, so you don't cop a defect notice down the track. If you want it darker than the law allows, we'll tell you straight rather than fit something that fails a roadworthy.

Lifetime warranty, fitted in a dust-controlled workshop
Our film is backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling and fading. Cheap tint gives itself away a few years in: the dye breaks down and the film goes purple, it lifts at the edges, or bubbles creep across the glass. A quality film, fitted properly, shouldn't do any of that, and the warranty is us standing behind it. If it ever bubbles, peels or fades, bring the car back to Burleigh Waters and we'll sort it.
Every tint is fitted in-house at our Burleigh Waters workshop, not in a driveway. Film is unforgiving of dust: one trapped speck shows up as a bubble, so it needs the same controlled space our ceramic coating is done in. Our detailing stays mobile and comes to you Gold Coast wide, but tinting is a workshop job, done right the first time.

Do you tint windows at my home, or only at the workshop?
Window tint is fitted in-house at our Burleigh Waters workshop, not mobile. Film needs a dust-controlled space to go on cleanly: a single speck trapped under the film shows up as a bubble, so it isn't a driveway job. Our detailing services stay mobile across the Gold Coast, but tinting, like ceramic coating, is done at the workshop where we can control the environment. We'll coordinate drop-off and pick-up around your day when you book in.

Yes, and a brand-new car is the ideal time to do both. Tinting and ceramic coating are both workshop jobs done at Burleigh Waters, so we can book them into the one visit and hand the car back protected inside and out. That combined booking is our New Car Protection Package.
Will tinting interfere with my phone signal, GPS or toll tag?
Not with nano ceramic film. The older films that caused signal problems used a metallic layer to reject heat, and metal in the glass is what interfered with radio signals. Nano ceramic film uses non-metallic ceramic particles instead, so it rejects infrared heat without touching GPS, Bluetooth or mobile reception. If you are unsure which film suits your car and electronics, ask when you book. If you rely on the car for work, or you have a toll tag, a dash cam or an aftermarket antenna on the glass, mention it when you book and we will work around it rather than tinting straight over the top.
Can you tint the windscreen?
Only a strip across the top, and that is Queensland law rather than a J-Bros rule. A full windscreen tint is not legal on a road-registered car here, so the most we can fit is a tinted band along the top edge, which is genuinely useful against low morning sun on the M1. The other windows have their own limits: at least 35 percent visible light transmission on the front side windows, and down to 20 percent on the rear side windows and rear window provided the car keeps a side mirror on each side. Do you tint utes, 4WDs and vans?
Yes, and on the Gold Coast we do plenty of them. Rangers, HiLuxes, LandCruisers, dual cabs and work vans are all normal bookings. Because glass sizes and the number of windows vary so much between vehicles, every job is quoted per vehicle rather than off a flat menu price: a dual cab with a rear slider is a different job to a hatchback.
