Ask which brand accredits them, then check that brand's own website or ask the brand directly. J-Bros is a Magnum-accredited installer, and we'd expect you to verify that too.

Get the warranty in writing, tied to a named brand and tier
A real coating warranty names the product, the tier and the conditions. The Magnum tiers J-Bros installs are warrantied for 7 years (Obsidian S1+ Graphene) and 10 years (Luminous X), conditional on accredited installation, registration within 30 days and an annual inspection. Vague 'lifetime shine' promises with no brand behind them aren't warranties.

Confirm paint correction is included in the quote
A coating is transparent and permanent: it seals in whatever sits under it. If the quote doesn't include decontamination and machine paint correction before the coating, you're paying to lock in your existing swirl marks. Every J-Bros ceramic package includes the correction stage, and any serious installer will itemise it.

Recent reviews that name the service, suburb and result tell you more than a big number with no dates. Read them on Google directly, where the installer can't edit them, and cross-check the work on the installer's socials. Ours are on our reviews page and on our public Google profile.
What should you ask before booking?
Put the same four questions to every installer you're comparing, and ask for the answers in writing: which product brand and tier will go on the car, how long the warranty runs and what voids it, whether decontamination and machine paint correction are included in the price, and the total cost for your specific vehicle. For any mobile detailing work, add a fifth: confirmation the business is insured for work at your property.

Does ceramic coating stop scratches?
Not the ones people usually mean. A ceramic coating is a hard layer only microns thick: it resists the fine swirl marks that come from washing and protects against UV and chemical etching, but it won't stop a key, a shopping trolley or a stone chip, that's physical damage only paint protection film has the thickness to absorb. Be wary of any installer who claims otherwise.
What should I ask before booking a detailer?
Four things, in writing: which product brand and tier is being applied, the warranty length and what voids it, whether decontamination and paint correction are included in the price, and the total cost for your specific car.
