Accreditation, not just a bottle
Anyone can buy a ceramic coating product; accreditation means the installer has been trained and approved by the manufacturer to apply it to spec. J-Bros is a Magnum-accredited installer, which is what actually backs the warranty (see the tier structure on our ceramic coating page).

A real, written warranty tied to a real brand
Vague promises don't hold up; a coating backed by a manufacturer you can look up does. J-Bros only offers Magnum's two longest-life tiers, 7 years (Obsidian S1+ Graphene) and 10 years (Luminous X), conditional on accredited installation and annual inspection. Ask any installer which brand and tier backs their coating, and check the brand's own site.

Paint correction included, not upsold as an afterthought
A coating seals in whatever is under it. If an installer's quote doesn't include decontamination and machine paint correction before the coating goes on, ask why, because without it you're paying to lock in existing swirl marks. Every J-Bros ceramic package includes it.

Ceramic coating needs a dust-free, temperature-stable space to cure correctly; a driveway job in Gold Coast sea breeze and UV is fighting the chemistry. J-Bros applies every coating indoors at our Burleigh Waters workshop for exactly this reason, which is also why coating is one of our two workshop services, alongside window tinting.

The honest verdict
We're not going to tell you every other Gold Coast detailer falls short; plenty of good ones do this properly. Common questions
Is the cheapest ceramic coating quote the best one?
Not usually. A quote well below the market's from-$999-ish range on the Gold Coast is a signal to ask what's missing, most often the paint correction stage, the accredited product, or a real warranty. Cheap coating applied over uncorrected paint locks in the exact defects a good detail would have removed first.
Does mobile ceramic coating exist on the Gold Coast?
Some installers offer it, but treat it carefully: ceramic coating needs a dust-free, temperature-controlled space to cure properly, which a driveway can't reliably provide. J-Bros keeps ceramic coating workshop-only for this reason and stays mobile for the services that genuinely suit a driveway.
How do I check an installer's accreditation is real?
Ask which brand accredits them, then check that brand's own website for an installer directory, or ask the brand directly. A legitimate accredited installer will have no trouble naming the brand and pointing you to the proof; hesitation on either question is itself an answer.
What should I ask for in writing before I book?
The product brand and tier, the warranty length and what voids it, whether paint correction is included, and the total price for your specific car. If an installer can't answer all four before you pay a deposit, keep asking around.
